Before you scroll down and enjoy the beautiful pictures let me tell you about her name, the actual blessing, and her dress.
We named this baby Jordyn Leslie Fuqua. Her first name is after her dad, obviously, we just changed the spelling to make it her name as well as give it a little feminine touch. So far I have loved that they have the same name. There have only been a few confusions that really were just funny. Maybe over time I will become more annoyed. However, I do feel like I say the name Jord(ya)n all day long! The name Leslie is from baby Jordyn's Grandpa and Aunt. The second daughter, (like Jordyn) was named after my dad 'Leslee' and they changed the spelling a bit too. This name really was the perfect opportunity!
Her dad, Jordan blessed her. I again, watched from the organ as I did with Madison. We had a small little circle, just Jordan, his father, and our Bishop. We laugh, because basically everything that Jordan blessed Jordyn with somehow ended in being about having faith in our Heavenly Father. He didn't mean too, and was a tad embarrassed, but, hey, faith is a good. I call her "Faithful Jordyn" every once in awhile to tease my husband.
The dress was handmade by me! It is long and white and I made the flower notions on her dress to match the little flowers that I found to make her headband. The afghan was made by my mother and was the afghan I was blessed in almost 25 years ago.
Please ignore the beard. It was the second to last day in 'No-shave November'. I will probably forever look at this picture and be annoyed and amused. |

This little girl is obsessed with her tongue. Her tongue seems to always be lingering in the photos. Her smile is the sweetest and goofiest thing you have every seen! Love this baby!
