The fall season

It's fall.. I can begin wearing pea-coats, long dress pants, and maybe my boots.

I don't really like the cold at all, but I love my kitten. I think that him and pumpkins make are so cute together.

Also... We went to the corn maze. It was so fun!!!! We did every maze available. It was pretty cool how big the maze was and how tall the corn was.

...Oh... I figured out why the candy is called candy corn!! At the corn maze, there was a bunch of hard corn on the cob. We plucked pieces of corn off and they looked like candy corn!
Who knew...

Our kitten

We are usually at a loss of what to call this little fellow, so usually we just call him kitty, or Firepatch.

A late summer wedding

We were sealed together on August 18, 2012 in Rexburg Idaho in the Rexburg Idaho Temple at 11:00 AM. Wahoo Wahoo Wahoo!! It was a beautiful sunny day, except for the sky was grey due to a nearby wild fire.
Here are some highlighted pictures from that day.

Coming out of the Temple as husband and wife

All our family and friends     Story: Because I am the oldest grandchild in my family none of my siblings or cousins could come witness the sealing inside the temple. My sister Leslee, who is 19, was put in charge of driving all my siblings and cousins up the hill to the temple when I was about to come out. They were stopped at the bottom of the hill when the van quit and would not move forward. They were stuck in the middle of an intersection embarrassed and panicked. Leslee burst into tears while Kimball had to direct traffic around the van. Luckily the high school orchestra teacher showed up behind the van, took a couple of children up to the temple and they were able to tell someone to come and get the rest. They all got their in the nick of time.

If you check out Kimball's face, the one directly to the right of Jordan...... It's not a posed one.
My periwinkle shoes!

Sealed for time and all eternity
                                                         The Reception
It was a beautiful beautiful Rexburg evening. Not to hot or cold. It was everything I hoped it would be. Beautiful, fun, and full of color and kids. Jordan got tired of being in that line, but because it was my hometown everybody I saw was someone I loved very very much.

My siblings took turns playing the piano
Check out the cute little banner at the top and the decorated card holder. I still have the banner hanging in my little apartment.

My beautiful guest quilt that my mother and I made out of bride's maid and wedding dress material. We also had our engagement pictures put on fabric. The guests signed the back!

   My Elegant Cake

We served oreo pops and a sherbert and sprite mixture. I actually never tried one. But they looked cute in my colors!
This is only a few, but my brothers, cousins, and all their friends in the neighborhood got up early the morning of my wedding to set up chairs and tables for our reception.
Fielding 'pimpin' out by the drink table
Our first dance.

This was the happiest day of my life thus far. We were in my beautiful hometown, we were surrounded by family and friends, and I was sealed to my best friend for time and all eternity.

A wedding license

For two weeks after the winter semester ended I had to go home. I was in waiting for a job to start and I needed to plan a wedding. After two and a half long weeks without Jordan he finally came to pick me up and to buy our wedding license. We had to buy our license about three months early because we were not going to be back to Rexburg until the day before our wedding.

Madison County Courthouse;   Rexburg, Idaho
So.... no we did not plan the tie die shirts, he just showed up at my door wearing one and we were way to 'classy' to change.

Engaged

In June of 2012 I became engaged to Jordan Fuqua.

Story:
It had been taking a very long time for my ring to get ordered. Even though I had picked out the ring I wanted, between my job and the small amount of time that I see Jordan, the decision and actually ordering was not getting done. Or so I thought.....

He decided to make me a ring. He cut a piece of leather and burned our initials into it. He proposed with this ring in a grassy field where we first studied a while back. He tried this corny line, something like "what are you doing for the next 50 years" (I think it's from some movie, Rocky, or something) and then asked if I would marry him. Despite the real ring I was honestly just happy I could announce to the world that I was getting married. I love this boy and am so excited to start our life together.

The next morning we hiked the "Y". The hike is basically all up hill; about a gazillion switch backs. I thought we were never going to reach the top. I complained the WHOLE way up. At the top he opened a small box that contained the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. Because of the lack of good pictures at this time in our story I will describe it.
" The Ring"
    - yellow gold
    - halo
    - princess cut
    - diamonds around halo and on the band
